About Sole Groove Dance Fitness | Owner Information and Instructor Bios

  • Jennifer Ludlam (Owner, Instructor) has been dancing for as long as she can remember. After college, she noticed how difficult it was to find dance classes for adults that were affordable and close to home. After the birth of her child, Isaac, Jennifer was searching for an effective workout, adult interaction, and a boost in self-image. That was when she discovered Middle Eastern Dance (bellydance) and fell in love with dance all over again. Jennifer grew up in East Texas and got a BA in Theatre from Stephen F. Austin State University. She taught Creative Dramatics in the Lewisville school district for six years. She has finally decided to fuse her passion for dance, fitness, and socializing with her love of teaching and organizing. Sole Groove Dance Fitness is product of her passion and her means of making sure no one forgets how uplifting dance can be!

  • Montserrat Scheuing (instructor).  I began my fitness instruction with Step Aerobics while living in Mexico City.  After moving to the United States and starting a family I took time off from my regular fitness routine.  I wanted to get back to my original level of fitness but could not find anything that kept me motivated – until I found Zumba!  Zumba beats the monotony of the gym and welcomes all fitness levels in a fun-loving “party” atmosphere.  Zumba classes are exciting and intense.  Join me in a workout that you will always look forward to!  Currently I am a certified Zumba instructor in both basic and aqua.  I’m looking forward to additional certifications in Zumbatomic (for kids) and Zumba Toning by summer.
